Taihang Mountain Tourism Centre is located in the middle of the Taihang Mountain, Henan Province, bordering Linyi City. The Centre sits within a national park containing over 200 species of plants and has a diverse wildlife population. The design philosophy for this development points towards minimizing the impact on the local natural environment while building upon the existing scenic mountain landscape. This is apparent in the structural design of the main building whereby it is shaped to mimic an entrance to a cave which opens into a courtyard with a garden and water feature. The landscape is populated with plants that are non-invasive and representative of the flora species in the region.
